  • Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology (MCDB) PhD Student

Kai is an MCDB graduate student in the Mowery Lab.  Kai obtained their B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Research at Virginia Tech, where they researched how polyploidy affects cell size, division, and proliferation.  They went on to become a research associate at Jecho Laboratories in Frederick, Maryland where they worked in process development for novel cancer-targeting biopharmaceutical products.

Kai grew up in Northern Virginia, just outside of D.C., with a ragdoll cat named Count Fluffula.  They enjoy drawing, collecting Pokémon cards, and watching anime with friends.
